Amboseli are the plains below Mt Kilimanjaro Africa’s highest peak. Amboseli is a Masai word meaning salty dust. It is one of the best park in Africa to see large elephant herds up close. Visitors can visit the local Masai who reside around here for an authentic cultural experience.

Day spent viewing game in the morning and afternoon. Amboseli (392 sq km) is not a big park but supported by swamp vegetation it harbors elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, zebras, ostriches and Masai giraffes in the background of the magnificent snow caped Mt. Kilimanjaro. The waters from melted snow find their way down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains in form of swamps. [BLD]

Both of my husband Jon and I are very satisfied in this safari with our guide Mr. Julius Gikonyo of Aardwolf.
After our safari cancelation and refund by an other safari company we chose Aardwolf to make a last minute safari.
When I was choosing among different companies for safari I noticed that Aardwolf has less reviews .
We booked our safaris to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, AMboseli and Tsavo East with Aardwolf Africa.
