Overview

Tsavo East National Park is the largest park in Kenya. Its location is in a semi-arid area and is generally flat with dry plains through which flows the Galana River. Tsavo East is truly the theater of the wild made famous by the man eating lions of the Kenya Uganda railway building years. It is also distinguishable by the 300 kms Yatta Plateau and Lugards Falls. Tsavo East is famous for the big five namely the red dusted elephant, rhino, Masai lion, Cape buffalo and the leopard.

Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa/ Tsavo East

Pickup at MIA Mombasa or your hotel early in the morning we depart at 7.00 hours and drive along Mombasa Nairobi road to reach your hotel in Tsavo East National Park in time for late lunch. Have evening gamedrive starting at 16.00 hours to view the wildlife. Overnight at your lodge [LD]

Today we spend the day exploring the national park with early morning game drive and afternoon gamedrive. Tsavo East has undeniable wild and primordial charm. The park is home to enormous elephant herds around the Voi Gate as well as the rare but striking melanistic (black) servals. We visit Galana River where much of the wildlife is concentrated to see crocs, hippos, kudus, waterbucks and dikdik. We also visit the most scenic Lugards Falls, a wonderful landscape of water-sculpted channels and crocodile point where you may see abundant numbers of crocs and hippos. Others areas you may visit are the Mundanda Rock and Aruba Dam on the Voi River which has a high concentration of diverse wild life. Overnight at your lodge [BLD]
