The National game parks of Northern Tanzania are amongst the best in the world and offer very exciting game viewing. Ngorongoro Crater is famous for its wild hunting dogs and a variety of other game. Lake Manyara lions are known to reside in the branches of trees where they can both relax and watch for prey while Serengeti is where the great wildebeest migration to Masai Mara commences every year around May and June.

After breakfast we depart at 07.00am for Lake Manyara National Park armed with picnic lunch via Namanga border town where we exchange crew and vehicle to a Tanzania team. Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. The park is home to Lion, Hippo, Elephant, Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboon, Blue and Vervet monkey, Warthog and more…About 350 species of birds have been recorded. This small park contains also five distinct vegetation zones thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The Manyara National park is also famous for its large flocks of flamingos and tree climbing lions. In this park canoeing has recently been added to the tourist activities in this park at extra cost. This is a great way to see the park from a new perspective. Overnight at your lodge (DBL)

On the way you will pass the Olduvai Gorge where the English pair, Louis and Mary Leak pioneered excavation work in the sixties. Ngorongoro / Tarangire
Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 07.30hours armed with picnic lunch descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) for gamedrive. All the Big five – the Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera. Others are Zebra, Hippo, Wildebeest, Hyena and more. Birds include flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic site; it will be an unforgettable experience! Ngorongoro Crater is often called 'Africa's Eden', the '8th Natural Wonder of the World'. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a "Noah's Ark" of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and a large soda lake. Large herds of zebra, buffalo, antelope and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino retreats to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist. Nowhere else can such diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time! After lunch proceed to Tarangire National Park. Overnight at your lodge (DBL)

Both of my husband Jon and I are very satisfied in this safari with our guide Mr. Julius Gikonyo of Aardwolf.
After our safari cancelation and refund by an other safari company we chose Aardwolf to make a last minute safari.
When I was choosing among different companies for safari I noticed that Aardwolf has less reviews .
We booked our safaris to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, AMboseli and Tsavo East with Aardwolf Africa.
