Nairobi/Masai Mara
Pick up at JKIA upon arrival in the morning and drive down the escarpment. Stop at the observation deck overlooking the Great Rift Valley to enjoy the spectacular view and scenery and then proceed across the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara to reach your camp in time for lunch. After lunch, we have an afternoon game drive starting at 4pm. The reserve is popular for the big five and is a northern extension of the Serengeti National Park eco system in Tanzania. Masai Mara Game Reserve
Two days spent game viewing with morning and afternoon game drive to experience the Mara magic! Kenya’s premier reserve is famed for its astounding concentration of wildlife and harboring lions, leopards, cheetah, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, Masai giraffes, hippos, black rhinos, spotted hyenas many species of antelopes. The climax is the annual great wildebeest migration in July, August, September and October of each year. Visit Mara River to see crocodiles and hippos. In addition, there are more than 470 species of birds in the park with almost 60 species being raptors. The birds include vultures, marabou storks, secretary birds, hornbills, crowned cranes, ostriches, long-crested eagles, African pygmy-falcons and the lilac-breasted roller. Masai Mara/Lake Nakuru
After breakfast we depart at 0730am for Lake Nakuru to reach your lodge in time for lunch. Thereafter have afternoon tour of Lake Nakuru, which is a seasonal home for the Flamingo (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds including a variety of terrestrial birds numbering about 450 species in total. It is also a sanctuary for the black and white rhinos as well as the Rothschild giraffe and harbours lions, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes, hippo Pythons and many other animals. 5/8/2020-Lake Nakuru/Lake Naivasha
After breakfast we depart at 0830 am for Lake Naivasha to reach your camp in time for lunch. Have afternoon tour of Hells Gate National Park. “Hell's Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. In addition to the bio-diversity that includes raptors, visitors can enjoy (optional) walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural spa.” Animals found here include the African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle and baboons as well as the klipspringer antelope and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard and swifts. Overnight at your lodge/camp - Safari standard tent (BLD)
Amboseli National Park
Day spent viewing game with morning and afternoon game drive. Amboseli park (392 sq. km) is supported by swamp vegetation and harbours elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, zebras, ostriches and Masai giraffes in the background of the magnificent snow caped Mt. Kilimanjaro. The waters from melted snow find their way down the mountain under lava flows and surface on the Amboseli plains in form of swamps. Overnight at your lodge/camp (BLD)
Amboseli/Tsavo East
After breakfast, we drive to Tsavo east National park to reach your lodge in time for lunch. Tsavo East is famous for its great herds of elephant that are usually covered in red dust and a variety of game and fine scenery. We visit Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. However much of the action in Tsavo East is concentrated along the Galana and Voi rivers that provide the green pastures that sustain the wildlife in an otherwise very arid and dusty park.
