    Nairobi JKIA/ Hotel

    Nairobi/Laikipia- Il Ngwesi Conservancy
    After breakfast depart from your hotel at 7.00 am and drive north via the shoulder of Mt Kenya to Il Ngwesi conservancy in Laikipia to reach your lodge in time for lunch. After lunch we have an afternoon nature trek followed by a sundowner. Neighboring Lewa, Borana and Lekurruki, Il Ngwesi covers 16,500 hectares and is home to the Il Lakipiak Maasai – ‘people of wildlife’. Truly special, this award winning enterprise combines eco-tourism with sustainable environmental management and community development. “Owned and run by the Maasai community, Il Ngwesi offers something truly special. Visitors to the lodge have a full wildlife and cultural experience, enjoying hospitality more akin that offered to a valued family member.     Laikipia-Il Ngwesi Conservancy
    After breakfast have morning game drive then visit a local Maasai Cultural Boma to learn about traditional hunting techniques and honey collecting, and enjoy local music and dancing. Back to your lodge for lunch and relax by the pool. At around 4pm we visit the rhino Sanctuary where they maintain two white rhinos followed by dinner and storytelling by the fire place.     Laikipia- El Karama Conservancy
    After early breakfast we depart at 7am for El Karama conservancy via Isiolo and Nanyuki to reach your lodge in time for an organic lunch. After Lunch we have a walk through the conservancy’s sustainable initiatives such as visit their farm, see their garden etc. You will engage in activities such as picking your fresh vegetables that would be served during dinner.     Laikipia- El Karama Conservancy
    Two days spent exploring the conservancy with morning, afternoon and night game drives as well as other activities organized by the lodge like bush meals, specialized games for kids & teens, walking activities including a ranger/wildlife monitoring, cultural boma visit, Farm visit at the ranch for activities like milking, calving and cattle inspections with the herdsmen. Also enjoy adventure flying camping in tree tents where meals are cooked on open fire. All these are offered in the package.

    After breakfast we depart for Nairobi and drop you off at JKIA in time for your evening/night flight back to home (B) END OF SAFARI

  • Meal Plan – BB=Bed, Breakfast; LD= Lunch, dinner; BLD= breakfast, lunch, dinner; HB = Diner, bed, Breakfast, AL= All Inclusive -Breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, Drinks (soft drinks coffee and tea, water, local beers, house wines and a selection of spirits (excluding premium champagnes, wines, spirits)).
  • Adequate bottled purified water in large reusable containers while on safari.

  • Balloon Safari US$450 per person in Masai Mara (Can be arranged on request)
  • Optional activities payable directly on safari e.g. horse riding, massages, camel rides, night game drives etc.
  • All personal expenses; e.g. toiletries, laundry, beverages, tips to staff, driver tour guide etc.
  • Driver tour guide tip from US$10 per day
  • Any other extras not stated as included above

What you need to bring on safari:

  • Covid-19 free certificate/clearance not more than 4 days old prior to your arrival and accessing any tourist facility, attraction site or undertaking of any activity with a tourism enterprise.
  • Face masks, sanitizers, hand gloves.
  • Money for personal spending and tipping
  • A pair of long trousers and jersey for the cool mornings and evenings in addition to plenty of light clothes for hot days (do not forget a hat), swim suit, comfortable shoes/sandals
  • Water bottle
  • Torch, sunglasses, suntan lotion, insect repellent/spray
  • Camera, memory cards, binoculars, maps, guide-books
  • Personal toiletries e.g. toothbrush/paste etc.
  • All personal travel insurance

NB: Ban on all plastic water bottles in Kenya National Parks & conservancies as from 1st June 2020 hence we request visitors to carry their own water bottles to reduce plastic waste and contribute to saving the environment.
