This is a unique national park in Africa or even the world over that was established in 1946 and lies on the outskirts of the city of Nairobi and covering an area of 114 sq. km.
It harbours an abundance of interesting wildlife living in a natural habitat in the ‘backdrop of a modern city with looming skyscrapers, speeding matatus and overhead jets coming in and out of the nearby busy Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The main attraction here however is the African Lion and is home to black rhino, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. The park has picnic sites, three campsites and walking trails for hikers.
A stop over for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant at 12.30 hours where the menu offers a great variety of roast meat, including local game meat. After lunch, we tour the Bomas of Kenya [a cultural centre with traditional homesteads (Bomas) where displays of traditional food, music and dancing vividly demonstrate important customs and traditions in the lives of Kenya’s many tribes.

Both of my husband Jon and I are very satisfied in this safari with our guide Mr. Julius Gikonyo of Aardwolf.
After our safari cancelation and refund by an other safari company we chose Aardwolf to make a last minute safari.
When I was choosing among different companies for safari I noticed that Aardwolf has less reviews .
We booked our safaris to Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, AMboseli and Tsavo East with Aardwolf Africa.
